This item shipped in very secure packaging from India but it arrived at my door in less than a week. It is double-sided so one side has the purple background and the other side has a medium turquoise background. It is a medium-weight pashmina and it is really beautiful in person. The workmanship is very fine. The care directions on amazon say to hand wash, but the pashmina comes with a tag that says "dry clean" - so there is a bit of a discrepancy there. However, I would recommend this item and not hesitate to order from Exotic India again.
