This is a very cute suitcase. I have an 8 year old son. This is his first "luggage." For the price of almost $70, I don't think it's worth it.When you lay it on it's side to place clothes inside, there is not a hard surface bottom. It's that slippery material that comprises the "bottom" that you're placing clothes on. There's a zipper that runs left to right for God only knows what reason. When you unzip it, you see the metal bars that make up the long handles that pull up and down to roll you're luggage with. There's two zipper pockets on the front for extra storage. If it holds up well, we'll be happy with it. I was just disappointed with not having a REAL bottom to the suitcase. My son loves it though!
