I spent a good deal of time evaluating sleeves for my new Air, some leather, some fabric... I was skeptical of this whole "paper" sleeve thing (especially at what seems like a high price for something made of paper). But it's really brilliant. It doesn't tear, doesn't get marks. Overall it's very durable, and very light. The interior has some nice red felt, which is soft and makes sliding the laptop inside very easy. The buttons and string are leather, and after 2 months of everyday use are still there and working great. I am hard on my gear, so when I say that- it's really a compliment.

The Air fits perfect, and has from the beginning. Snug, but not hard to pull in or out... Also, the texture of the whole sleeve makes it easy to hold. I wouldn't call it grippy, but it's not slick and I walk with it held by a few fingers and it feels secure.

I like that I can take it on the bus and no one gives it a second look. I've had laptop bags before, but I have shoulder issues and can't carry things that way for very long. It's also great for airports, as I can pull it out of my luggage and not have to worry about it going into that dark tunnel mysterious tunnel unprotected!

I carry it this way everyday. I've dropped it a couple of times, and though it's not super padded, my laptop has come through without a scratch.

There are two minor downsides. It's water resistant but not water proof. It's fine in your basic rain storm, but I'm pretty sure if you dropped it in a puddle for more than a few seconds you'd be screwed. The only other thing is that there is some hippy dippy text in metallic ink printed on the front. But luckily it's small and hard to read. So I'm not super bothered by it.

I never review things, but I saw that this great product still had no reviews. And since I nearly skipped purchasing it because of that- I figured I'd convey just how brilliant I think this product is! I would buy another in a heartbeat, and hope my review was helpful.
