Though the fabric used in this dress is quite lovely, there are a few downsides. The length is exorbitant, and at 5'6" I'd need heels to wear it if I weren't going to hem it. The fit is rather strange. There's extra fabric in the armpit area for me, and as the lacing on the back only goes half-way up it can't cinch it in there. And the dress just manages to close properly around my waist by cinching up all the way closed, but unfortunately leaving the back neckline bagging out. Also, the lacing used is very thin string and not something you would normally find in this situation. I bought this knowing I would probably have to do some alterations, so all in all it's pretty much what I expected. If you have a bust larger than 36 inches and a waist larger than 30, you'll be just fine in a medium, but expect to wear heels for the length.
