First, the dimensions on this bag's amazon page state that it is 7" wide. It is actually, at its very widest point, only about 5.75" wide (although it is, correctly, a bit more than 4 inches high, not counting the lock button nor optional-use hard handle). And even that's misleading because of the shape of the bag. It narrows to less than 4.25 inches wide. What I really cared about was whether my iPhone (appx 4.5" x 2.3") would fit inside. It doesn't. If the real size of this bag does work for you, the bag is okay. Cute enough (photo is accurate), but the interior "velvet" is cheap, the interior label is sloppily glued in, and the lock requires that the hard handle be pushed about 45 degrees backward in order for the lock to grasp itself (no problem if both hands are free, but tricky if you want to close the bag one-handed). Also, the bottom hinge is not recessed, so it's quite visible, and looks inelegant. The idea of this being a $500+ or even a $200+ bag is absurd. A reasonable retail price would be no more than $30. At most.
